Linda,

Word is treating those single lines as paragraphs. Which means that it is by default adding a paragraph space after each line (which is why it looks like 1.5 line spacing).

How do you get rid of that? Simple. Select the paragraph. Then go to the same place in the menu you are using to change the line spacing (Home tab, Paragraph Group, Line Spacing drop down menu). At the bottom you will see an option that says "Remove Space After Paragraph".

Click that and you should have your problem solved.

It's still a problem. Even though I was able to change to single spacing which I needed for a resume, if the lines don't wrap or are very short, they will not single space, they space at 1.5 or better. How does one get around this?

I having the same problem as Ajay. When I get to the step to send email, the "send email message..." is grayed out.

I am also working with Windows Vista, Word 2007 & Windows Mail (not Outlook).

Please Help!!! I have been working on this for a week now. I know it has to be a way to email merge for Vista's Windows Mail.

Thanks,

Hi Brad,

Ctrl-Z still works fine - in fact you will find almost all your keyboard shortcuts are the same when you move to Office 2007.

Cheers,

This seriously sucks! MS 2007 is a nightmare - totally screwing everything up and making it impossible to adjust things. I am not able to change fonts no matter what I do - I limited to two font types! This is total nonsense - there is no excuse for this level of incompetance on the part of MS!!!!

Does Control-Z still work? Keyboard shortcuts save more time than any toolbar, although it is typical of MicroSoft to make needless GUI changes that, as this thread indicates, cause confusing and irritating wastes of time.

That's fine but my Word 2002 does not recognise the page set-up as landscape when I want to centre text - the text goes to the centre but as if the page was still portrait! I have no tabs, 2cm right & left margins and now I have given up - any ideas?
