Comments on: Protect your Word 2007 Document

Ok, I have gotten all the way to the Protect Document button, I can see the “restrict formatting and editing” but I can’t get to it! It’s grayed out and I can’t click on anything! Can someone please let me know what I need to do to get access to those buttons? What might be wrong with my document that it won’t let me do that? Thank you!

hi,
the “developer ” tab u can get in ur word-07 by click the left most menu(probably use to open the new doc.)in right side corner of the menu u can see the option “word option”,click it. and a window will appear,then make the option developer tab to be enabled..then follow the above steps…its working

Not quite clear with you have said about protecting certain sections of the document in word 2007. i just can’t get it and it’s not even there in my word 2007″

Nor me, I don’t see an option to protect certain sections when I chose “filling in forms” on part 2. of the Restrict formatting and Editing tool…

Anyone able to elaborate/help?

Hi I need to know how to protect certain selected areas in my word 2007 document. The staff is allowed to work on the documents, review, delete, or adding as legislation and company rules or names change, however when they do the formating of my document change. How can I ‘set’ my document so that all adjustments then adheres to the formating that I have set.
