I have also been looking for this, I do NOT have a vba solution.
I have done this with TEXT, but then I cannot continue calculations.

		<description>Looking for ideas on how to dynamically modify currency formats.  Application has currency as a variable. I am working with multiple currencies in the same book.  Need to be able to set symbol based on the variable.

I&#039;ve done it with VBA, but would like to avoid it if possible.
