A number of people have asked me…

The New Paperclip… I made a big mistake, now how do I undo my changes in Word 2007?

Thanks for the questions… yes the Undo command has moved a little from previous versions of Word.  You can now find Undo (as well as Redo and Repeat) in the Quick Access Toolbar.  The Quick Access Toolbar lives in the top left hand corner of the screen.  Have a look at the image below, I have circled Undo so you know where it is for next time.

Note that you will also find Undo in the same spot (in the Quick Access Toolbar) in PowerPoint 2007, and Excel 2007 :)

  1. It seems like I can only undo the last 20 – 30 seconds of changes in OneNote 2007. Can anyone help that?

  2. Does Control-Z still work? Keyboard shortcuts save more time than any toolbar, although it is typical of MicroSoft to make needless GUI changes that, as this thread indicates, cause confusing and irritating wastes of time.

  3. Thanks!
I am Dutch and i made a document….and i do something wrong….and i will undo and i could not find the undo button..
    Thanks for help!

  5. Whenever I press CTRL-Z or the undo Button in Powerpoint it always undoes a whole lot of changes (not juts the last typing or last move). I cannot figure out how many steps it undoes but it usually renders the undo function useless.

Has the behaviour of undo from Office 2003 to 2007 changed? Or is it XP to Vista (which I changed at the same time).
It really drives me nuts …
    Thanks . E.

  6. There seems to be a problem with my undo. The command only undos one character at a time. Can someone please help me?

  7. Help!! Suddenly all of my documents are set to print Two-Sided and I don’t have the option to change to one-sided document in the print screen under properties. There was a problem with a new document, but in trying to fix it, I now see that all of my prior documents are also set to print two-sided.

I do not have the option checked for printing on back page and printing on front page.
    How can I
    fix this?

    Thanks!!
